Re: 2010 Wind River [HELP]

Re: Velocity-based PID with the WPILib PIDController Class

Re: Velocity-based PID with the WPILib PIDController Class

Re: Curiosity on why most teams choose LabView

Ok, I see that you only have three total posts on CD so I will be as gentle as I can. Just to warn you: this post has nothing to do with the thread. Normally I would disengage such converse however...

Re: Velocity-based PID with the WPILib PIDController Class

What kind of speed controllers are you using? This non linear response suggests that you are using Victors. Is this the case? I would still advise you to withhold the I and D gains until you have...

Re: Velocity-based PID with the WPILib PIDController Class

Without seeing your code I can only speculate based on my experience with PID. It sounds to me like you have a math issue and or a coding issue. If the system becomes unstable(oscillates) when you...

Re: Current mode ... or any mode other than voltage

Current control mode allows users to servo the output of the Jaguar to a given current. PID gains can be set to change the Jaguars response to changing conditions. The maximum current that can be...

Re: Curiosity on why most teams choose LabView

Ok, by your definition wouldn't Excel would be considered a programming language?

Yes, if by "any programming language" you mean Labview

This is exactly my point.

Our team uses Windriver primarily because our team has many students who are programmers. Programmers use programming languages. Labview is written in a programming language. I suspect that it was...
