Make sure the 2CAN firmware is a version for FRC. Version 2.21 is the Latest version for FRC. Also verify that the Jaguar firmware is also for FRC, version 101.bin.

Are you wired or wireless when attempting to update? One jag on the Bus or many Jags on the Bus? Have you tried isolating the problem jag and then flashing it?

If you damage the black Jag being used as the gateway to the point of affecting its 3.3v power supply you will absolutely lose the entire CAN bus.

I have to disagree with you on this. According to CAN spec IS0 11898:1993(E) Table 15, the maximum cable distance for 1Mbit/second is 40 Meters not 20 feet.

CAN is the communication protocol used to communicate with the Jaguars. The 2CAN is a gateway device used to bridge Ethernet to CAN. The Jaguars may also be used as a gateway between serial (rs232)...

Try flashing with the 2can again. There is bug in the 2can's latest firmware that fails on the first flash attempt. The jag is not bricked it is just stuck in bootloader. Version 2.21 firmware...
