Of course hex shafts produce stress concentrations. It's just that the induced stress is far lower. They are also far more convenient in a number of ways.

I've always liked skipping Mondays and Fridays (unless Monday is a holiday) and doing the rest. Seems to help with burnout as the breaks are evenly space time wise.
