Re: [FRC Blog] Chairman’s Award Submissions Definitions

Before if teams made a statement like that and were called out on it, they could fall back on the "oh, well by mentored we meant emailing them once during the season, and by started we meant we sent...

Re: [FRC Blog] Chairman’s Award Submissions Definitions

During the creation of these definitions there was no discussion about including other types of programs in this new common set of terminology. We were working within the pre-exisiting framework and...

Re: [FRC Blog] Chairman’s Award Submissions Definitions

You're 100% correct. It was just an example of one of the many types of beneficial resources FRC teams have created.

Re: Can someone in the Irving TX area "draft" this young man?

This thread is a trainwreck and being closed for that reason. I'm utterly disappointed by what I've seen here, especially blatant examples of racial insensitivity.

Let's try to do better next time a...

Re: The Quest for Einstein

I mean, yes. But on that topic:

"After studying the youth camp landscape for the past decade, and now serving as the Head Coach of Nike Elite 11, former Super Bowl winning quarterback and current...

Re: The Quest for Einstein

Not that many people here will care about this line of discussion, but I think that the "Trent Dilfer" strategy might be more appropriate. Joe Montana may not have had the same gifts that Dan Marino...

Re: What event is your team registering for first?

Unfortunately not. We had a great time at GTR Central last year and wanted to return, unfortunately the event falls on the same weekend as the Ontario Provincial VEX Robotics Competition Championship...

Re: PNW introducing new funding model

It's probably not a coincidence that the $256,000 program fee to FIRST is equal to 64*4000, which is the number of teams that compete at the PNW Championship times the event registration fee.

Re: PNW introducing new funding model

Added some bolding for emphasis.

The change in cost to the teams here is solely a function of how much money the PNW FIRST organization can raise. I've put it in a chart to make it easier to...

1. You're competing at...

Re: Best 4 Year Game Career?

I was just making a joke. In all seriousness I don't think the two championships plan will affect game design in any noticeable way. As for other impacts, time will tell.
