Re: WCP: 2017 Product Launch + MCC 2017
I don't think anyone is recommending the 3mm GT2 for primary drive train loads (they are however final for initial reduction in drives).
We've used them a good deal on intakes, shooters, initial...

Re: New AndyMark Product Game Hint???
As of right now the site still shows 9001 RPM.
What is pretty thoroughly? 1000 shots? 10000?
I know some of the teams running the fairlane teardrop wheels in 2013 replaced them a few times over the...

Re: New AndyMark Product Game Hint???
That number seems DANGEROUSLY high to tell general case to team's at large.
With compression and a high number of shots, I'd be very concerned running at that number.

Re: New AndyMark Product Game Hint???
At a certain point you'll have to spend some money with some game objects.
Colsons worked for us in 2016, but in many other years didn't work nearly as well as more expensive options.
Considering...

Re: New AndyMark Product Game Hint???
Yes and no, they do appear to be waterjet out of sheet... and the material isn't that cheap. For low qty production the price seems about right.
[QOUTE]I never understood why they were made with a...

Another team fire...
Two nights ago a fire was intentionally set (a real bummer) at our neighboring Vex Team's school and it took out everything they own, plus two other classrooms worth of equipment.
I hate to come on...

Re: Recommendations for Restoring Router
These can be a good choice if you run the right controller (was going to recommend AMC like Brian if you insisted on buying some).
What controller are you planning on running w/ Linux CNC?
Do the...

Re: Recommendations for Restoring Router
There is some markup from distributors, but the $387 price here is ballpark.

They will shave a lot of time off the project potentially, but...

Re: Recommendations for Restoring Router
What is the power rating on the servos?
It might be more cost effective (and definitely easier), to use Teknic "stepper killer" motors (400W is their largest). These are a servo and drive integrated...

Re: pic: 3 wheel omni drive concept
There isn't enough of a lever arm to a CG below the axles (even w/ 8" wheels) to keep the robot stable when accelerating.
It also just isn't nearly as cool.

Re: VEXpro 2017
These look like some nice tweaks to make the Versaplanets even better.
Are there any other new products this year?
