Re: Team 1410 Needs Help at the St. Louis Regional

This will be our first year at the St. Louis Regional since 2008, but we would be happy to share scouting data with you. We should have plenty of people around to help you out if you need anything...

Re: The Best Team(s) to Never Win an Official Event

Many thanks! I think our team is in what I would describe as the robot version of the "friend zone." We aren't quite good enough to be a number one or two seed or the first pick of the one or two...

Re: 2017 Greater Kansas City Regional

Unfortunately, the Kansas City Regional takes place during our Spring Break this year and we would just be missing too many of our leads and captains to make it work. Hopefully, 1939 will still have...

Re: pic: Things you couldn't do again if you tried

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOqpkoCzb9A

Go to 2:18. Both teams shoot at about the same time, red ball doesn't get over the truss, blue ball bounces off another robot and is caught by 1939...

Re: Greater Kansas City Regional 2016

Working on it, but no promises. It might be tough to get the screen in the shot with it being off to the side like that.

Re: Greater Kansas City Regional 2016

I am working on getting it set up so that we can film every KC match with a full-field view so we can have archives for TBA.

As this is our team's first effort at this, please be understanding if it...

Re: Greater Kansas City Regional 2016

Is anyone planning to record the matches and post them to YouTube? It is a bummer when you can't go back and watch matches after the Regional is over.

Kansas City only has a few matches from last...

Re: pic: Team SCREAM 4522 2016 Robot- Tempest

Great looking robot as always 4522! I really like that you put that swerve drive to use. That strategic decision is going to pay off if you evade defense and score as fast as it looks like you can....

Re: 1806 S.W.A.T. 2016 Reveal

Great looking bot 1806! I was so impressed with how much attention to the little details you put into your 2015 robot and this one looks like a definite contender as well. That pinball style shooter...

Re: pic: Team Titanium 1986 - 2016 Robot

Awesome robot as usual Titanium! It was great to see it in person at the scrimmage and we are looking forward to watching you in action next week at the KC Regional.

It never ceases to amaze me how...

Re: Diagnosing Belt Skip Under Load

We have almost the exact same setup and we were slipping belts too. We were able to fix it by doing a few things. We haven't slipped a tooth since.

1) We added a 3rd pulley. We needed more teeth in...

Re: The Triple Tortuga is Contest born.

Beat me to it! Amazingly, they were all stuck on the same defense, drawbridge. Is that some kind of super triple tortuga?!

Two of the teams were making a pyramid. They couldn't do that again if...

Re: Week 0 Discussion

First off, I'd like to thank the Lee's Summit R7 Alliance of 1730, 1986, and 1987 for hosting teams from the Kansas City area today. They were gracious hosts as always and the pulled pork sandwiches...

Re: The E-Ville Empire's(Team 5216) chassis

Looks good so far. Quickframe is really cool stuff, but a word to the wise. Those plastic fittings will eventually break if they are under stress and heavy vibration. I would recommend being ready...

Re: pic: S.W.A.T. 1806 Stronghold 2016 FRC field

We tried the shrubbery last year on the roller claws. Found out that it doesn't handle 1200 RPMs very well.

Re: pic: S.W.A.T. 1806 Stronghold 2016 FRC field

Oh, I see what you did there. Nice. We shall also be reaching for the bar, but in a Kuhnigity sort of way.

That isn't the inspiration I was thinking of but it is very cool! Love the tape measure...

Looks awesome! Can't wait to see what you guys come up with this year. Seems like you take it to a higher level year after year.

How is programming with Java instead of LabView going?

Re: Unusual, potential game pieces

Hula hoops could definitely present an interesting challenge. We invented a VEX game with foam rings and tall posts and teams got extra points for having the top ring on the post. It was probably my...
