Dimensions, weights, CAD, and other info will be added throughout the course of the day, and into tomorrow.

Polycord pulleys are black ABS.

The DS itself is the same as of right now, but there is...

Re: pic: MVRT Off-Season Sheet-metal Chassis

A few tips:

-Close the box sections for the frame, it'll make them significantly stronger.
-Add in a bellypan, it'll help with torsional stiffness
-The split front part isn't very rigid either -...

Re: pic: High Reduction 2-Stage Gearbox

You can accomplish the same reduction you have in two stages of 20dp gears for a similar weight. And while an extra stage adds weight, it's definitely not a whole pound's worth. Why are you using the...

Re: pic: High Reduction 2-Stage Gearbox

It appears as if the driving dimension there was an attempt to get the CIMs as close together as possible for a thinner gearbox.

Re: pic: High Reduction 2-Stage Gearbox

This is fantastic for your first DOG shifter - be proud of yourself for what you're accomplishing.

To touch on your points:

-"5.5 ft/s low, 16 ft/s high" - this is a good spread to work with. I've...

Re: pic: MVRT Off-Season Sheet-metal Chassis

Looks like they imported the STEP of the ballshifters and didn't change them, so it's likely they didn't even add mass properties, hence why Anand is asking about their weight inclusion.

Re: Max Age for FRC Participants?

Daughter Heard driver and Dadam Heard Coach is gonna be the most adorable dynamic duo on the field. Just need FIRST to allow non-humans on drive team so Punky can be human doggy player.

Re: Max Age for FRC Participants?

What interests me is the idea of a driver who starts at an unnaturally young age (~7 years old) and drives until the FRC-legal maximum age. If that's 24, you have a driver who will end his or her...

Re: Belts 9mm or 15mm?

My 24T pulley worked great the entire season. It never failed once and I would recommend everyone use this pulley.

Re: New AndyMark Product Game Hint???

Almost 100%.

EDIT: 100% chance that it's a minibot from 2011. Whether AM is just trolling or not I don't know, nor is it late enough in December for me to actually care.

Re: New AndyMark Product Game Hint???

For you youngin's that weren't around in 2011, a common minibot design included a limit switch at the top to cut power to the motors as soon as the minibot impacted the plate at the top of the pole.
