Re: Your favorite robot of all time?

971 from this year (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htWJinmvj-w) is my new favorite.
971 is probably my new favorite team in general; their past few robots have been so great to watch. As a...

Re: When programming doesn't get enough time

Curse those filthy wrench-swinging rivet-popping screw-driving hammer-smashing mechanical barbarians.

Hand over the robot to the programmers!

Re: WILL.I.AM's comment on Einstein

As a student, when we have Dean or another important figure come out and give long-winded speeches about how STEM is great, that's cool and all, but it's not something I'll remember. In fact, after...

Re: Cleaning Wheels

For our harvester wheels, last year I liked to run the wheels and hold a wet nap on them to let the wheels clean themselves.

Re: Team 2052 KnightKrawler, Carson Division: Robot Reveal Redux + Regionals Recap

Great machine. The way the harvester slides out before you shoot looks really cool.

Looking forward to being your pit neighbors on Carson tomorrow.

Re: Team 987 - 2016 highlight video

That shooter arm is just hypnotizingly beautiful.
In the last shot, I thought the robot started to mysteriously climb (even though it was nowhere near the tower). Then I saw the people lifting it....

Re: Angle Calculation from image of goal

Our camera is offset ~5" from the shooter wheel and we don't have that problem. If you're using a calculation that uses the camera's field of view, try increasing the value for the field of view...

Re: Things to do with a dead Stronghold robot

In one match at NECMP, 1519's partner was dead in the neutral zone. They pushed the dead robot over a defense and onto the batter, getting their alliance a capture.
That was pretty awesome.

The rotation is quite slow, so I don't think exceeding RPM is an issue.

At some point, I switched to relative mode and the problem stopped. So perhaps you are correct.
But we have two components...

Re: Talon SRX magnetic encoder issues
