Re: Biggest upsets of 2016
Not a match, but the entire 2016 Curie Division could be considered an upset. In every matchup on the bracket, the underdog came out on top. The eighth seed won the division. You can see the bracket...

Re: Spartan Robotics board connectors
This looks great so far! I'm happy to hear that this has been in development. Seems like a very helpful guide for all teams looking to use the Spartan Board.
Thank you R.C. and WCP for working on...

Re: Advice for new Technical Lead
I cannot stress the importance of learning from CD. So much of my understanding has been developed through independent study and research outside of my own scope of work on my team. There are posts,...

Re: Where to purchase wire?
In my experience, it can be a tad difficult to fit 12AWG in the PP30 connectors, but it can work without cutting down the strands in a 12AWG wire. I like to use the PP45...

Re: 1.1 Pump (am-3227) Really an improvement?
How about a resource from two of the vendors we all use most?
motors.vex.com (http://motors.vex.com) ..... The motor specifics that we use to design mechanisms.
and
pneumatics.andymark.com ........

Re: Where to purchase wire?
Powerwerx (https://powerwerx.com) is typically our go-to with any zip cord (https://powerwerx.com/red-black-bonded-zip-cord). I would certainly recommend.

Re: Team 4926 Swerve Drive CAD
Agreed. This drive base is quite bulky and could prove to be an issue when you need space for mechanisms. The only time Team 696 made swerve was in 2015, where we also needed to hold totes inside the...

Re: GT2 Timing Pulleys
This past year we used BB Manu (http://www.bbman.com) for some GT2 pulleys. Great service, fast shipping time. No complaints on my part. Just bore the ID and broach for 1/2" hex, but that is not a...

Re: 775pro .5" Hex Output Shaft
Do you happen to have any pictures of this machined holder? We have been pressing on pinions free-handed for the most part, I am curious to see how your mount helps with the process.

Re: Best Matches/Moments of 2016
I am not sure if enough people know this, but 330 fell over at the Los Angeles Regional too. In the finals, this happened in Match 1 and Match 3.
Yes, they were able to get back up back then as...

Re: Polycord Pulleys
We have been 3d printing custom designed pulleys for prototyping with polycord when the time arises. I can attest to the need for making the grooves deep. The belts will run off the pulley or slip...

While we wait for more updates from the folks on 1678, perhaps someone who went to the Madtown event could share some additional close-up pictures of this robot with the rest of us? :D

I take you mean unrealistic as in you expected robots to score faster and higher than what actually happened during the competition season?
Also, just for the curiosity and observation of us all,...

Re: NEW DLC Pack 2!
Even 2007's Rack n' Roll could be considered moving via direct robot action, I would just like to see scoring areas move because of field actions.

Re: NEW DLC Pack 2!
Moving field elements, that is, the elements that team have to score at (or onto/through/however else you score things) is something I have given some consideration. I do not mean mechanized movement...
