Re: Championship Conferences - Who Goes?

What would your presentation about marketing entail?

I would have a hard time believing someone not directly marketing a FIRST team would be qualified to speak to this, but if you mean straight up...

Re: STEAM Actually comming to FRC, and im not happy

STEAM is your friend.

As a fan of photography, I'll use that as an example. The average person would probably consider photography to be a form of art, but took a...

Re: STEAM Actually comming to FRC, and im not happy

Art has personally attacked my family and my way of life. It should not be tolerated in STEM.

For real though, "Art" has a certain beauty to it BECAUSE it can be subjective. This allows it to be...

Re: The Best Team(s) to Never Win an Official Event

Based on a strong history I'm going to say 2791. Up until very recently my answer would have been 1323.

Re: What material is this????

Urethane Belt, commonly known in FRC as "polycord"
http://www.mcmaster.com/#round-belts/=142vttm

There is also flat belting that a lot of teams have used successfully which I think many prefer now.

Re: [FIRST EMAIL] Stop Build Day Survey

Do you hope to contribute to the discussion or just $@#$@#$@#$@# on things other people post?

You state what is wrong and what is not the correct metric. What are the correct metrics then?

What...

Re: Pockets on Women's Pants

Following this lead, I did find that women's golf pants should all have pockets (not sure about the size, but they're there!). Similarly, most tennis skirts will have pockets as well. Could be a...

Re: Pockets on Women's Pants

Big Handbag And Purse lobbyists need to be stopped!

Although that sounds funny I have a feeling they probably do have some sort of influence?

Interesting thread! I have quite a lot of friends in...

Re: [FRC Blog] District Teams attending Regionals

I definitely see this as the "MAR Rule"

I personally feel that MAR and FIRST should actually ask these Jersey and other MAR teams why they travel outside of their area for culture awards. Much of...

Re: [FRC Blog]2017 Updates

Nice, my favorite part of the Championship event is watching sub-par teams competing in uneventful matches for most of the week.

This is a great change for people who love this same aspect of the...

Re: FIRST on "The Fosters" - Monday Nights on FreeForm 8e/5p Starting Tonight!

I think you are all taking the potential influence of a TV show most people have never heard of way too seriously. To echo what Adam said, you are the vocal minority here.

Re: Inspirational teams

1323 for me. I've been able to see RC transform that team from 2007 onwards and they continue to impress me with how "unique" they are. Still one of my favorite teams in FRC.

Re: pic: 25lb Drivetrain

Meh, I've done it before. You don't miss out on much if the rest of the bot is planned out with enough attachment points. And the rigidity is there with the bellypan.

Re: FRC to be at the 2020 Olympics?

Please no do not compare playing with robots to what it takes to be in the Olympics.

I'm excited to see what the partnership will yield. A demo would be sort of cool, but anything past that would be...

Re: F4 - Connect (The new way to get help)

I think everyone is taking this too seriously.

While I disagree with the sentiment behind the site, it's a little odd so many of you feel so strongly about it.

Let them be, whichever kid wants to...

Re: Districts in Texas proposal sent to FIRST
