Re: TOWER Malfunctions since Week 3

Watching the webcast on Friday (Thanks to Team 1517, the Lumberjacks), in their second match, the MOE minibot went up the pole twice and struck the plate both times. I assumed this was a deliberate...

Re: 2010 Chairman's Award Winners

The numbers are not recognizing teams who earned Honorable Mention at the Championships. While it isn't the Chairman's Award itself, this is no easy feat when matched up against all the great CA...

Re: Responsibilities of a Mentor

No where! In almost every situation I have been in, the "blame" can easily be spread around and serves no purpose. Besides, if important things are left undone, then the entire teams fails. My...

Re: Visit the MOE 365 Hall of Fame Display - You Could Win A Prize

I don't think that would have kept long enough for that to be a good prize.[/QUOTE]

No, but it certainly would be GREEN by Atlanta!

Re: Defensive Strategy - cornering opponents ball

This is key. Many teams lock into an idea immediately after their brainstorming sessions and rush off to prototype. Equal importance should be given to developing a "Threat" team to consider...

Re: Who I'd Like to Meet - 2008 Championship Edition

I was sitting at the top of the stands in Philly, when Bethany led a mentor from Rolling Thunder up and introduced her as Cynette. I expected she had a question about our team, but instead she...

Re: Defensive Strategy - cornering opponents ball

I am told that it is quite difficult to see the robot through the reflection and glare off the center divider at the opposite end of the field. This tweak would help alleviate that problem.

Re: pic: Finger Lakes Regional - Personal Recognition Button

Eric,

You hit the nail on the head with your explanation. MOE has been putting together PRA buttons for the last 3-4 years, after we recognized that beyond the Organizational Awards, and the Team...

Dave never said "WHY" he was at Pixar.

Maybe he was arranging a Guerilla Drive-In preivew of WALL•E for the Wrap Party in Atlanta!

Re: **FIRST EMAIL**/FRC Game Hint #3

Vet hurdling FIRST tetra

This clue could indicate an end game autonomous period. In this case, "Vet" would indicate a robot that has completed gameplay, trying to overcome obstacles (hurdling), to...

Re: pic: Taylor's 2008 game field guess

No endgame autonomous?

I seriously want to see the end game taken out of the human players control and played by the robots.

I guess it's "Wait till next year" again, if your guess is...

With the speculation about RoboLaser Tag, could the response be to shut down for a period after receiving a signal? Is your sensor still unresponsive?

Have any other teams found results...

Adam,

Agreed, Joe has either pulled off (or has tried to pull off) a number of hoaxes on this website. He has reached the point where he needs collaborators to accomplish these.

First, it is...
