Re: Powering two compressors with one PCM

To add to the above,
One and only one compressor on an FRC robot, please.
The PCM is not intended to handle the current of two compressors so a Spike or other relay is your only choice.
The pressure...

Re: Electrical connectors on control system items

Greg,
The JST style you linked are used in equipment I work on everyday. They are good for small signal and DC or status. Most manufacturers will use different size connectors to avoid having...

Re: Suicide Cables Safe for Motors?

Just to add a little to this discussion...
Stall current is by definition, the current a motor draws when power is applied but the motor is not turning. (Start satisfies this definition.) The large...

Re: Hex Turning - Runout Question

We came across some hex shaft that was not concentric in the past. If you took a close look at the flats you would see that they were not all the same size. We first noticed an issue when we sent...

Re: Use of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries in place of Lead Acid for FRC r

If one reads the data sheet linked above, the max shutdown current is 36 amps. Most motors draw more than that all on their own. Please remember that the current AGM battery is regularly sourcing...
