Re: FRCTop25 Popularity Poll For Charity Results

No Indiana teams either - and we even had one on Einstein (https://www.thebluealliance.com/team/1501)!
Not to mention Indiana teams led the world in breach and capture rates (source...

Re: Inter-District Play in 2017

IDK I'm pretty proud of my team, I assume others feel the same.
Also I'm pretty proud of myself and my FRC accomplishments, and I don't feel the need to hide behind an anonymous account.
But to each...

Re: Inter-District Play in 2017

As a supporter of Indiana robot builders, I'd like to say the following about interdistrict play in 2017:

Bring it.
I ain't skeerd.

Re: Better material shopping list for field element build

I personally wouldn't want a pre-kickoff material list. Most years, we don't build according to Hoyle (in 2013 we built a quarter pyramid and shot at masking tape goals; 2016 we didn't even attempt...

Re: The Blue Alliance Blog: FRC Designs + The Blue Alliance

It's good to see the consolidation of resources. Finding many different types of info in one (hopefully intuitive) place will help us all.

Re: Yet another new mentor question - how much to order preseason?

Another difficulty is how your team builds the robot. Do you have parts custom made for you by a local fab shop, or is most of the manufacturing done in-house?
Either way, I'd load up on tools and...

Re: paper: Team 4904: Bot-Provoking Gantt Chart Tool

I tried that and it didn't work.
Shall try again.

Re: Team fee survey

My current team is $250 per student.
My previous team is $250 for rookies, $500 for veterans.

These are all meant to be sponsorship monies raised, not checks from mom & dad. They're also both...

Re: How do *you* light your pit?

To echo what Wil said (did I just type that?), I think you'll find most Indiana gymnasiums and fieldhouses are more Taj Mahal-ian than the dank dungeons you are used to in the land of roosters. ...

Re: [FRC Blog] Documentation: Reboot

Since the resources are "easily available" from the dashboard, and the awards sections seem to be floating near the top, they should be rather easy to find and utilize.
Of course that's for people...

Re: FRC In Indiana 2017

None of the host teams (45, 234, 1024) have ever won IRI. Indiana team wins are far and few between - I think 71 has one or two and that's it. I've spent quite a bit of time studying the banners at...

Re: STEAM Actually comming to FRC, and im not happy

Were these official FIRST awards, or were they given out by teams? If the latter, I can add "Best Button Design", "Weight Watchers", "Best Defense", and "Best Balancing Act" to my teams' repertoire.

Re: The Ultimate Ugly Holiday Apparel! WOW

Gonna be totally honest - when I saw the thread title I expected the first response to be
"REPORTED"

But this is really real! Great idea.

Re: STEAM Actually comming to FRC, and im not happy

RIBMEATS is nice, but it dismisses a very important part of what we do. I cannot imagine a Robot Competition without Dance; Dance simply will not be ignored. So with a slight readjustment of the...

Re: [FRC Blog] Diversity and Inclusion Training, STIMS, and the FIRST Youth Protectio

I thought the D&I training was well done.
If you haven't done it, give it a shot.
If you already know all there is to know, give it a shot.
If it's really not your thing anyway, give it a shot.

Re: Registering Students on First Website--Help

If the interface isn't improved, we will register our awards submitters only and do paper forms for all others.
A bit of a headache at event registration, but much less than the current virtual...

Re: Recommendations for new joysticks

I am shocked there are no joysticks on the FIRSTChoice list this year. Perhaps they'll appear in Round 2?
(yes I saw the Xbox 360 controller. It doesn't count.)

Re: FRC In Indiana 2017

That's why I put the caveat at the bottom. They've already got a lifetime ticket to CMP. They will defer state to save finances.
A sizeable team contingent will still come as volunteers.
