Re: 2008 Festo Solenoid

I may be necromancing this thread, but I happen to be working with a 2008 festo solenoid at the moment and have a multimeter and supply handy.

Re: Tap Magic?

When I was on 11, we used to swear by the stuff for machining of all kinds. The nice thing about it is it's water-based and can be diluted to your desired viscosity. It also doesn't have the...

Re: Arduino runing CAN Bus

One of my old teammates has been working on this. It's a Robot Operating System Node for controlling Jaguars over serial. You may be able to pull out some useful stuff about the Jaguar serial...

Re: Netbeans Having Problems With Imports

Are the wpilibj packages included as libraries in the project? If your teammates created a regular Java project (instead of an FRC project), the libraries wouldn't be included. You should see them in...

Re: Standalone image analysis.

You can either work with OpenCV directly (using the Java interface that WPI has supplied), or you can use the WPIImage object's method's to do a lot of basic image processing.
Someone named Greg...

Re: LabVIEW deployment problems

My team had a similar issue until the NI rep at Buckeye told us to disable Windows firewall. I don't know if that's the issue here (especially given the suspect hardware in your laptop), but he said...

Re: Tank Treads

You might try double-sided timing belt, which can be purchased from many places, including McMaster-Carr (www.mcmaster.com)

You may wish to try this http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75103&highlight=sidecar+weight on a temporary basis to see if your cable is the problem.

Re: DC Motor For Lawnmower

Thank you everyone who answered, particularly artdutra for those links. I'll keep looking around a bit and hopefully find something within my price range.

Re: Battery powered DS help

As I interpret this, you want to use two of the old 7.2V backup battery (14.4V total) to run the DS and router, and you want to make a voltage divider...

Re: Molding Custom Wheels?

So my post just got eaten. I will try again.
Pros of molding (using Urethan and silicone as Brandon suggested):
-Reproduceability
-Can be done in a garage once the molds/dies are made
-Doesn't tie up...

DC Motor For Lawnmower

I remember seeing at some point (possibly on these forums, but I cannot find it) that power (horsepower ratings) for internal combustion engines (as in a lawnmower) do not carry over to DC...

I believe you're referring to a Venturi vacuum pump, which would work with any pressure line. The compressor itself may actually be able to function as a vacuum pump on its own. I'm not sure how...

Re: Victor Controllers Not Receiving Signal

Update: We tried replacing one of the victors with a jaguar, and now all of the motor controllers are throwing a 63195 error in writePWM.
I'm going to check the power connections. That might be it.

Re: Autonomous help

As I understand it, you want your sensor code and your motor code to be running at different frequencies (to check your sensors more often).
Have you tried using two while loops running in parallel?...
