Re: Center of Gravity

I've tried it out and gotten moving a part to change the cg. You must go under tools and then go to update mass properties. If the cg marker is gray, then you need to do update mass properties in...

Re: What will the winning robot have?

As many people said, it will need a many well done autonomous modes

Also, it needs to be able to hold multiple tetras at once for the rush at the end of the match

It needs to have a team with some...

Re: pre-made wheels

Re: Can anyone explain to CAD to me?

You might also want to consider getting a book or finding some other tutorials in addition to the tutorials that come with the software. It's always best, though, to find someone to check your work...

Re: Who Owns This Goal

I agree that Red owns the goal since it appears that the Red is on top of the blue, even though the blue is higher (interesting little paradox). How was it that the tetras got in that position (i e,...

Spike in Virtual KOP

Has anyone else noticed that the Spike in the Virtual Kit of Parts is not quite the right size (much too large)? Whom do we contact to report this?

Re: Question about the "25 seats"

You will be able to install Inventor 25 times. YOu use the same serial number to authorize each time, but it will have a different request code, and Autodesk will send you a different authorization...

Re: Inventor problem! Dimension Error

You mean, all lines, shapes, whatever you had drawn to the right of where you placed the dimension simply disappear when you place the dimension. I'm not quite sure what you are saying. If I am...

Re: Inventor Tetra Connector

How did you bend the part 33.5 degrees. I thought it might be best to make the triangle in the center and the outer clover parts and mate them together, but there's got to be an easier way.

Re: 2005 Drivetrains

You need to be able to go fast at times to get to the goals you need to, especially at the end, but but more importantly is controllability and power since the field will be very crowded and everyone...

Re: humorous or commercialish?

If you go by the books, then the judges will be pleased by the animation. But, you need something in there to grab their attention so that they will remember your animation above others. Humor is a...

Click on the link on the top of the page. It's a little over 100 megs, so be patient on the download. Sorry, but I haven't rendered a low-res version yet.

Re: How long did it take for you to build your drivetrain?

Last year, we spent most of the 6 weeks designing the drive train. This didn't work out so well since we didn't have any working special features. Granted, we had a very good drive train, but...

Re: Help with inventor!

FIRST gave each team 25 licenses of Inventor 8. Why don't you stick that on your computer. There's not that much difference between 5 and 8, but it is less likely to have bugs and it will...
