Re: Inter-District Play in 2017

We have 8 teams from MI coming to the St. Joseph event (74, 226, 503, 2771, 3357, 4004, 5110, 5502). Subject to change, of course.

Re: pic: Indiana Team Distribution and Events 2017

I'm super excited for 1501. Knowing them, Chris and the rest of the team will make great hosts.

Funnily enough, I kind of enjoy how unique to Indiana the moving championships every year (or it seems...

Re: pic: Indiana Team Distribution and Events 2017

The event schedule seems to be pretty well spaced out this year. 3 events back-to-back-to-back was a little too much at some points...

I figure the Penn event up north is to at least be a bit more...

Re: Best Event Giveaways

I got a copy of Solidworks 2011 back at the champs in 2012 from 51.

Re: Christina Grimme Killed After Concert

I never knew her, but her name keeps popping things I enjoy. Smash Bros., Attack on the Titan, and now FIRST.

Sad day.

Re: Most Effective Robot EVER?

Heck, a case could be made for 842, who was capable of doing everything that year IIRC. They weren't perfect nor the best, but they were a swiss knife out there sometimes.

Re: Post-Championships Performance Analysis and Awards

You know, it could've been possible to use that strategy during semis against the Carver alliance. They managed to enact that in play it seems for semis 1, but some untimely misses by 148 nullified...

Re: Strategy during Final at Einstein

If 3015 and 1405 didn't play defense, they would have likely lost to Archimedes... in quarterfinals. Defense was definitely the right call, and I'm very impressed that 2056 had the foresight to pick...

Re: Upset Percentage

A quick glance at OPR seems to show a very small spread between each team in the top 15 for Curie. Other divisions show a clear 2-5 robots ahead in OPR from the rest.

I didn't watch Curie, so I'm...

Re: 2016 Einstein

If you were referring to me, I meant the 2017 season, not this year.

Re: 2016 Einstein

Really, the tiebreaker was put in place after 2010's tendency to result in ties. Ties are rather rare, and do warrant a replay in eliminations.

Re: Congratulations 987!!!

Congratulations to 987. It's incredibly inspiring to hear "It's not enough" as their motto in their drive to be who they are.

Re: 2016 Einstein

Congrats to 330, 2481, 120, and 1086. One of the greatest Einstein finals ever played (2010, 2013, 2014, and the list goes on...).

Re: INsight: Indiana State Championships

You all are correct. 1529 never physically extended in the frame perimeter, and that was how I worded my post. I won't correct my OP, but I'll clarify here.

To give a small disclaimer: no, I am not...

Re: INsight: Indiana State Championships

1501 lost the Perry district on a red card for popping 1024's tanks when they played defense.

1529 played similar defense (as in reaching inside the frame perimeter underneath 1501's bumpers), yet...

Re: IN District Championship

3176's lack of ball control is stopping me from putting them on my personal list, but I understand the reasoning why otherwise. They'd be a steal if they were left in the second round.

Re: IN District Championship

I actually wrote quite a bit about the teams in Indiana after the end of Perry and what to expect. Granted, it was a tad too long for just a summarized post...

At this point in the season, it's so...
