Re: Farewell, Chief Delphi.
Wow, John (VN), nice post! I don't know Craig, but he is obviously somebody who has spent a lot of time and invested a lot of effort in FIRST. While your comments may seem harsh, in my experience...

Re: Please stop complaining...
Very nicely said, Andy. We should not accept the unacceptable because we need to be "good sports." "Fair and professional" needs to be two-directional.

Re: #25 & #35 chains
#25 chain is great, but for final drive, we learned the hard way that it is too light. We actually broke links in half at the "neck" in their cross section. B. Toth is of course right when he says to...

Re: pic: Inside the torque multiplier
These are great drives because you get tremendous turndown (torque multiplication) in a very compact package. There is a company called Harmonic (at least that is what they used to be called) that...

Team 159 Profile on PBS NewsHour
Did anyone see the profile of Team 159 on the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer this evening? It was a nice, about 7 minute profile that followed the team right through nationals (finals on Archimedes), and...

Re: Live vs. Dead axles
We have used both extensively on 6-wheel and 4-wheel arrangements. I like dead axles much more. The torque transmittal issues and simplicity issues I think are close to a wash. With the bearings in...

Re: UTC Regionals Team 126 GaelForce
[QUOTE=Ben Piecuch]Guys,
Let's not get into an offense vs. defense argument here. Both teams 20 and 126 have very strong offensive robots, and were unfortunately the main targets for some very...

Re: pic: Team 20 2006 Robot
Thanks for all of the comments!!
