[FTC]: Beacon problems

We are having issues with our beacons. At the beginning of the year we bought a set of four beacons and two of them have failed.

One of them no longer powers up at all. Every once in a while you...

Re: Keep FIRST in Michigan (FiM) from killing FIRST Lego League

I would just like to point out that the Ortberg division finalist alliance had 2 teams that where middle school teams. One of those teams was the captain of the alliance that moved on to the...

Re: Poofs Red Card Question?

The score was 289 before the red card. 35 points in penalties. If you take away the 35 penalty points they would have scored 254.

Re: Dropshots Fired!

254 has already gone over one defense and returned through a different defense in auto. It's definitely possible for them to pick up the second ball that way, but I don't know if they have enough...

Re: MVPWM-101, cheap servo tester

I can't really tell from the picture but it looks like it could be a 555 timer meaning no code.

Re: Request: Picture from camera on pole in driverstation

How big of a screen do you use? Do you use the camera image as the main view for driving or just to find balls and other hidden things?

Re: Using the ADXL345

Are you trying to tell what angle the shooter is at? You could just use an encoder to tell you what angle the shooter is at relative to the robot. An accelerometer isn't going to work very well to...

Re: We are going to Want a GRIP fourm

I am looking at trying to use grip. What exactly is it? Is it a piece of software I have to download somewhere? Is it a library? Where do I get it from? Thanks.

Re: Team 254 Deadlift Technical Binder 2015

When you release the code will the simulator also be released? I'd love to see it.

Re: Keep FIRST in Michigan (FiM) from killing FIRST Lego League

I don't really agree with this. Enigma (FRC 2075, FTC 5385, FTC 5391) has two grade school FTC teams and their mentors are the high school FRC team students and some parents. FTC 5391 made it to...

Re: 900's 2015 Robot Code

I was looking through your code and saw you have a lot of In Place Element Structures. What are these for?

Re: 2016 Football Game

It'd be cool if human players could touch them but you had to score on the same side of the field as your human player. That way the human player wasn't able to score. It be cool to see long...

Re: robnot rumble: 2015 superslam

Some teams have budget and space constraints and can't afford to keep their robots around for more than the season.

Re: Motion Planning and Control for FRC - FIRST Championship Conference Session

I would love to see this but won't be in St. Louis until Thursday morning. I will try to send my dad and fill me in on what happens but will there be a recording of this after the event? I would...

Re: Best Can Burglars?

Yes but getting the arm down doesn't matter if they don't drive away before the other team can get their arms in. It then comes down to who has the better arm. The strength of the arm can decide...

Re: Best Can Burglars?

The reason Rush lost this battle was not because arm design but because Rush lifts their arms in auto so they can still get the robot set if their whole alliance does. I also did a video on my phone...

Re: MSC Top Bots Preview

Re: Ideal FRC Game?

So far my favorite game in my participation in FIRST was Lunancy. I don't think I have seen a perfect game and a perfect game would only exist for one season and then it would be old again. No...

Re: More Finesse as a Driver

In response to the joysticks, I find that the xBox controller is easier to control with but I can use the standard joysticks just well, it just takes practice if you want to adapt. We usually design...

Re: Warning about using VRM and LED lights

Our LEDs are connected to our VRM. We have two strings running up our lift support arms. Nothing happened to our VRM. Are you sure you didn't do something else to kill the VRM?
