Re: 2010 Philadelphia Regional!

That would be "shirmp" (sic), and I can recommend the "evil jungle princess" (if you like it hot) and the pad thai, haven't had the shirmp, though.

Re: 2010 Philadelphia Regional!

Re: 2010 Philadelphia Regional!

You missed one: Lemon Grass.

Their menu was featured extensively in the 2007 Philly Announcer Game. Who can forget such crowd pleasers as "tutti fruty duck"...

Re: 2010 Philadelphia Regional!

George in the house! Now I know this will be a great regional. How about references to Philly food? e.g. Cheese steaks, Scrapple, Soft Pretzels, Hoagies...

Re: How Precise and Accurate is the Analog In on the Crio?

Tom: I've spent a bit of time in the data acquisition/measurements world and recommend that you not go directly from the strain gauge bridge to the 9201. You probably could make it work on the...

Re: Changing bumper colors

The kickoff video showed the use of a removable bumper cover - see it at 5:36 in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCzRhLSoGt0).

Re: Should I buy a Mac or a PC?

A few observations from the parent of a recent WPI grad (Electrical & Biomed Engg):

I offered to buy her the laptop of her choice as a HS graduation present. The WPI ECE department head was adamant...

Re: FRC Teams near Lehigh University

I think FRC 834 is closest to Lehigh and 103 is about a 20 minute drive.

Re: Sad News for FIRST- passing of Dave Beck, team 103

In this sad moment, for all of us whose lives Dave touched, there is solace in knowing that he was a great friend, mentor and force for change in his communities.

Dave's impact is felt in...

Re: Why did you join FIRST?

I blame my daughter for it. At the start of her freshman year in HS she had to pick an extracurricular activity and saw that there was a robotics club. She'd had a preview of this club when her...

Re: Discrepancy at Chesapeake, Israel, Waterloo?

At the risk of driving this thread even further off track, I saw this condition once in Pittsburgh and it turned out to be a flaky DS Ethernet connector.

Re: pic: My Favorite Moment 2009

This is my favorite photo of this season because it so clearly conveys a truly wonderful moment for some wonderful people.

Working with some of the great folks on team 1511 at FLR made me appreciate...

Re: Discrepancy at Chesapeake, Israel, Waterloo?

I suggest that a better way to have phrased this would be "Not when non-functional robots are placed on the field 6-7 times."

At each of the four regionals I've worked at this year, the number one...

Re: 2009 Philadelphia Regional

Yup, that's the one. We are prioritizing the inspection of robots according to the match schedule.

I think Wayne will like match 44.

FYI, Eric and Jeff, two fantastic mentors from 1511 volunteered to come down to Pittsburgh to help teams there (just like they did at their home Finger Lakes Regional last week) - even though their...

Gigapan Images from Pittsburgh

Tom Lauwers of Gigapan was at the event on Friday and shot several great images. They're posted on the Gigapan site (http://www.gigapan.org/searchGigapansList.php?sort=recent&keywords=pittsburgh).

Re: Pittsburgh Regional

New keys are generated at each regional. You'll have to load a new one in Pittsburgh and have your software inspected, but since you've got the updates installed it shouldn't take much time.

Re: 2009 Finger Lakes Regional!!!!

According to FIRST this is not the case. Rather, what is probably happening is:
1. The robot is powered up before the driver station acquires a DSlink (which occurs within a few seconds of plugging...

Re: Update 15

There is a little more to it than that.

Each team will get a sheet Thursday morning listing the WPA code for that team's radio, along with instructions on how to load it. Each team must then ...
