The Zipline element of the FLL game for 2015 was an absolute nightmare. I'm not sure ho it would hold up at FRC scale though.

I worked with these motors all through my time in FTC. They can stall for more than a minute with no sweat. These motors seem weak until you take a look at all the simple mechanisms people use in FTC...

Idk about these being smoke generators. The tetrix motors definitely let it out easily. But these can stall for like a minute and stay fully functional.

Just a heads up, those west coast drive clamping hubs are a nightmare to work with. They constantly slip if you use them to hold significant tension on a chain.

I think you have it backwards. Team 179 was a part of an alliance who's defense was really good. They were able to shut down a majority of shots the other teams had.
