Re: Recapping the 2016 Season in 6 words or less

"900 dislodged the rock wall again."

For us: "Guys, I think we fixed autonomous!" ...We didn't.

Re: Was there really a penalty in finals 3 at worlds?

I'll just say this: Do we really need another thread on Chief Delphi that could start arguments over the referee's call?

Sure, you could potentially argue either side here, but I think we have...

Re: 2016 Einstein

8th alliance Curie and 7th alliance Newton. This will be interesting to see how they perform against 1st (and potentially 2nd) seeded teams.

Re: Project ORB: A superb predictive scouting system!

I'm confused here. According to what I can see at this page (http://orb.scoutfrc.com/#/a/matches/2016nccmp), the only Eliminations matches ORB was able to correctly predict was 2v7 and the Finals....

Re: Project ORB: A superb predictive scouting system!

How accurate were your results at NC DCMP? Did you compare predictions with actual (eg. ORB provides a team should get 3 high goals, but in reality get something different)?

Re: pic: 2016 Championship divisions compared to other top competitions

Though I can't be 100% certain, it appears, much like most of the other graphs and data being posted recently, the y-axis represents highest OPR and the x-axis represents the teams at each...

Re: Is FRC giving high CG robots a free pass on defense?

I completely agree. The rule book also does not address what happens if you accidentally flip a teammate with a high CG over (which I have seen occur). I would hope no team attempted to intentionally...

Re: Team Update 15 (2016)

Our robot was intentionally designed to avoid getting caught/catching on the original low bar design. We even included a step in our autonomous code to raise the the flap, so there would be no chance...

Re: Calling all students and mentors from the CHS, NC, and PCH Districts

In 2014 and in 2015 we attended two regionals each year, all of which required lodging.

In 2016, we attended all four of the NC District events and the NC DCMP. The four district events ranged from...

Re: Predictions Week 6: Damaged Defenses

For NC, we can't forget 3506's scaling, which greatly contributed to their success at events.

From a strategic standpoint, it will be interesting to see the clash between a high-goal shooter +...

Re: Alliance Request

There are two situations with of "horrible match-ups."

First, your alliance partners are "horrible." If you feel that is the case, find out what your alliance partners can do and fill in the gaps...

Re: Predictions Week 5: Raising the Flag

This event will be very interesting; there will be five teams that have already won a district event: 3506 and 5551 at Guilford, 4935 and 3661 at Wake County, and 2655 at UNC...

So far, we have played 48 matches. It has been great to attend every event, and I am very excited to attend two more! I guess I'll explain that first.

Re: Predictions Week 3: Catapulting Upwards

On a district level, this event will be really interesting. 3506, Yeti; 4290, Bots Of War; and 4935, T-Rex (Rawr) have already won a district event. As well, 2059 were finalists at Wake County. It...

Of the Low Bar substitutes I have seen, this one probably worked the best and is still very simple. Also, they installed the new ones very fast. I don't know the exact number of matches the flap was...

Re: Scaling

Four out of thirty teams were able to scale at Guilford. 3506, Yeti, was able to do it reliably; the other ones were somewhat unreliable. Our team is planning on modifying our arm to help us scale.
