Re: How to lose 6 pounds in 8 hours
I don't know about the robot since we didn't have that problem this year. However I did tell my wife I wanted to lose 20lbs of ugly fat quickly. She told me to cut off my head. Go figure.

Re: 2007 Championship Divisions
WOW. It is up to 271 teams as of right now. That is awesome. Our team said we would never go unless we earned it. I must say, this looks like it is an awesome year to have earned it.

I think this was a pretty genious idea. A ramp that is lifted by the drive motors. You see the two wood cams? The have rubber on the bottom of them. All we have to do is drive forward and the...

Re: Camera Use During Main Game
Tubes seem to always be in the way. We got tired of the camera and just ripped it off. Saved us about a pound or so with the carmera and wires.

Re: 2007 Boilermaker Regional!!!
I woke up this morning and thought to myself, "Wow, I really get to wake up and go to another regional. Isn't this awesome?" I would say people who don't get involved in FIRST just don't know what...

Re: Prediction: Veterans take off the gloves in Week 3
I like this kid. Good pick for Boilermaker. As a mentor for 829, I would love to see us hooked up with 45 again for another win this year.

Re: Would You Watch an Israeli Regional Webcast?
It would probably be NO for me. Just for the simple fact of the time and I watch too many regionals as it is. My wife is starting to feel like a FIRST widow.

Re: Color Coded Bumpers as Flag Replacements?
Not that I disagree with the idea behind the color coding. I would be against it based on the fact that it is one great place for us to use our team/school colors.

You need to add team 829. We were regional champs at St. Louis and are on the list of teams going.

Re: Is Defense key to this game?
Something to think about. 1 awesome scorer, 1 good scorer w/defense ability, 1 rampbot w/defense. How can you stop that?
One defense bot defends the opponents tube scorers. The offensive bot...

Don't worry guys. I was kidding. Not really offended. But here is the way I see it from experience. Two scoring bots and a defender with a ramp will dominate. It is to difficult in the finals to...

Mediocre? Do I need to remind you to go back to the picture of Scott with the banner from our win? A bot with a strong ramp can be a descent to excelent scorer also. If you don't think so, watch...

Do you think Scott's picture is a bit reminicent of Jimmie Johnson in his Nextel commercial? I like it though. I need a picture of me with that.

Re: Has a hybrid won yet?
Team 829 that I am a mentor for has a hybrid bot and won the St. Louis regional. However we decided to go defense and ramp rather than score due to our alliance having better arms than us.
