Re: Designing with sensors

We used a lathe to bore a 1/4" hole into the end of the 1/2" hex shaft our arm was rotating on, we then slotted it on the 6 sides of the 1/2" hex shaft by making 3 cuts straight across, and finally...

Re: Designing with sensors

We used the MA3-A10-250-N (AndyMark's Absolute magnetic pot) on our shooting arm and had very good luck with it, no dead zone at all. Our high goal shots, among other things, were dependent on it...

Re: Team 4564's Tape Measure Climber

[QUOTE=Drew4564;1552810]Thanks! I'm also curious why the team wasn't allowed to use their tape measure climber. If anyone has any more information, I'd like to know!

I put together a build...

Re: Rhino track failier?

Make that at least 3 cases, after seeing this we check our chassis and sure enough many of our hubs have cracks and some chips. What's interesting is even our second chassis has them and it hasn't...

Re: paper: [Ri3D] The GreenHorns 2016 Present: Rivvet

Isn't the Versa Planetary encoder using the CTRE magnet that needs to be bored into a CIM shaft? Wondering how that would work on a 775 shaft.

Re: paper: [Ri3D] The GreenHorns 2016 Present: Rivvet

We have one of the REV Smart Servo's and the torque is good, but the speed is very slow - much slower than what we see on the robot you built. Were you using this particular servo, or one like it? ...

Do you happen to have any pictures of the plate with the encoder/gear mounted to it? We're still trying to figure out how we want to handle the absolute encoders.

AndyMark mentioned they would have a fix for this sometime in September, but haven't heard if they're on track with that or not.

Re: 2015 Archimedes Division

Team 1785 will add a fast 2-canburglar for auto (working great on the duplicate bot). In autonomous (if we don't use our canburglar) we can carry 2 Totes/1RC to the autozone, ending autonomous with 2...
