Re: [NEFRIST] Boston District Event

Thanks for the playlist Jay. Team 1768 was unbelievably excited to be the #1 pick by 1058. The finals matches were some of the best I've ever been a part of.

Re: Flipping Rule

Poor wording on my part, it was meant to be a question if the pushing match was an intentional flip. You guys played an extremely tough defense and we were worried about going up against...

Re: Flipping Rule

Based on this (https://youtu.be/xJpOMLC5OLI) video, that's exactly what happened.

32 seconds in, you're already tipping yourself. Reading G24 do you believe the blue alliance intentionally tipped...

The coiled tubing from here is super cheap and gets the job done.

Re: Predictions Week 7: District Championships

When I saw the dumbbells strapped on to your robot, I wondered why there wasn't some sort of can-grabbing mechanism. Looking forward to seeing it!

Also appreciate the note about 1768. It's my second...

Re: Predictions Week Five: Center Cans on Center Stage

They were a lot of fun to watch, and a lot of fun to go against in the final. I know team 1768 was extremely happy to play with you guys (2877) and 663. Easily some of the most exciting matches I've...

Re: Designing a climbing mechanism for 2013... a humbling experience

I've been hitting my head against a wall trying to solve this. The pyramid is one of the most difficult elements I've tried to solve in my ten years. The size constraints, combined with the zone...

Re: Rule clarification (robot length)

The rule states playing configuration when giving dimensions. If you read the glossary for playing configuration, it states this is dynamic and can change through the match. My suggestion? Don't...

Re: 2013 ACTUAL game hint!!!

I never really involve myself too much in game hints, but, looking at this train of thought could relate to "raising the bar"....Robots were left "holding weight" (suspending from the bar in the...

Re: [FRC Blog] Einstein Report Released

This has been my thinking as well. I don't think I could have worded it any better. My question is, was the Einstein incident the first and only time this person had purposely sabotaged a team?

Re: [FRC Blog] Einstein Report Released

Just finished reading through.

Wow. I'm impressed by how detailed the entire report is, and at how well FIRST has handled the whole situation.

This is great.

How I see it? Personally, I do not like or agree with things going on. But, I can deal with it and move forward because this is robots. I like robots.

You can't please everyone. I...

Re: getting 8th graders interested in FIRST

An easy way to fill some time, and get students inspired, is showing videos. The anticipated teasers from years past, previous matches with your own commentary, etc.

We had a quick 1 minute trailer...

Team 549 holds engineering and lego summer camps, raising around $10,000 a year. Hopefully someone from their team can chime in with more info.

Re: Mechanum Wheel Sizes

Quoting this again, because it doesn't get any easier.

Use the kitbot frame. Figuring out a suspension and anything else can come after. My focus would be first to make it work.

Re: Mechanum Wheel Sizes

If it's something your team wants to do, got for it! There will be naysayers that will give every reason not to try it, but what fun is that? Pushing yourselves to try something new, and learning in...

Re: 2012 Lessons Learned:The Negative

Is this not standard? I know we picked up our Chairman's feedback from pit admin after awards were over. (At GSR). It is hugely helpful, pointing out our strengths, and the one thing we didn't touch...
