Re: 60 point auto club

Thanks for the data Ether. As I read the data, it has only occurred 7 times during qualifying matches during the entire season. I thought it must be pretty rare with the random alliance...

We were excited to be one of the robots contributing to a 60 point auto at Champs. Carson field Qualifier 71.

Re: Cheval auto club!

Code Red Robotics, 2771, did a Cheval auto with high goal shot at the Ann Arbor District this weekend. It had never been tested on a real field, so we were pretty excited to see it cross AND make...

Re: Major WPILib PIDController bug

He misspoke - he meant setSetpoint and has corrected his original post.

setSetpoint doesn't have to force onTarget to be false because it clears the buffer - which makes isAvgErrorValid() false,...

Re: Major WPILib PIDController bug

Yep, that's the one!

I have to agree with Oblarg that the failure to clear the accumulated buffer sum is a big problem. That's a flaw in the plan of never actually re-calculating the sum of the...

Re: Major WPILib PIDController bug

Actually that's not the bug I was referring to. Here's the portion of code from the "calculate" method. This is the corrected code:

// Update the buffer.
m_buf.add(m_error);

Re: Major WPILib PIDController bug

Actually there was a worse bug in that routine that we discovered last week, and it's likely the actual cause of your problem. The bug was that they were managing their linked list of error values...

Re: Static IPs on the field

Using static IPs was not an issue last year. As CSA I helped a handful of teams switch everything to static to resolve issues with communicating with their Axis cameras. This was done after...

Re: Question about Anderson PowerPoles

We used the 30 for everything except for the motor controllers themselves. The newer motor controller wires will not fit into the 30s, but regular 12 gauge wire fits fine. We like the 30 because...

Re: Code does not work, and there seems to be 0 issues.

Maybe your joystick isn't working?
Have you had the code working before? If so, what changes have been made?

Re: Robot Turns Off During Teleop

When you say it "turns off", do you mean that all the lights on the roborio are off and stay off? Or that it seems to reboot?
If the roborio lights are off, does the PDP have lights on?
If not, is...

Re: F310 Joystick and Jaguar Problems

You're intermingling motor controller terminology (Jaguars and Talons). It's important to know which you are actually using. I'm guessing you actually have Talons since you mentioned them also.
An...
