Go to Post I heard a Lou Holtz quote as an answer to the question of "how do you motivate the unmotivated". He said " You eliminate those who are not motivated." - Scott Ritchie [more]

Re: The Use Of Practice Robots At Off Season Events

Back on 173, we entered our practice robot at a few offseason competitions. It was always used by another team either a pre-rookie or a team that broke or couldn't transport their original robot. ...

Hey, gotta stick up for my team.

Re: Congratulations to Perfection. Team 987

They lost plenty of matches. That robot was a winning robot, but not a qualifying robot.
If I remember correctly, the rankings were based on the losing teams score. Their strategy of grabbing all...

Re: Request for Pinnacle device to archive CT regional

I have a device that converts to firewire. It would need processing and clipping and all that good stuff.
Message me if you're interested.

Re: pic: 2012 Coach/Mentor Appreciation Pin

If anyone really wants a pin, PM me.
I get one every year and never wear it.
I'm not a part of FIRST for the pins.

I am really interested to know how well that arm holds up throughout the competition season.
Did it take any hard impacts from other robots? What is it designed to take?
Also, what spares have you...

Re: Polycord welding

We simply use a spackel knife, and a torch.
Secure the spackel knife in a vise. Heat it with the torch. Touch the ends of the polycord to the hot knife until they melt. Slide them up the knife and...
