Re: 2007 VCU Regional

In answer to this (we got asked about this a couple times) in the begining of the tryouts we cam across a unexpected flaw in our design. We used a release system so that the front panel controlled...

0 to 60 in four seconds, 139 mph, 100% electric?!?

I don't know how many people follow plug in cars but I saw two articles for this car yesterday in two seperate magazines so I had to check it out. Simply put, I'm amazed. The Tesla Roadster is 100%...

Re: Flexible shafts working with CIMs

Re: I need help with plastics

Will do. I'll consider looking at other materials but for the prototype I think the board will work for now. I don't want to share anything about it until my friend and I start the patent papers...

Re: I need help with plastics

Thanks that would work fine. I kind of prefer plastic because I could see my wheels splintering at the edges where it's going to be very thin. I can just cut the board to size. I'll still keep an eye...

Re: I need help with plastics

Well as I said before I'm looking at making some special wheels. Unfortunately assembling the wheel out of pieces would be less then ideal but I might go with the idea of wood. I am looking at giving...

Question I need help with plastics

I've been planning my summer project and I started getting into material selection. The main thing I'm having trouble with is picking plastics, something I really have no experience with. The...

Do we have to buy a kit?

I think the title pretty much says it all. This year we found that we used very little in the kits beyond the control board and some of the motors. We are actually having trouble where we have a...

I almost wonder if the design by NeilR (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40926&highlight=mecanum+sell half way down) wouldn't be easier to...
