Re: Ibot Featured in Discovery Star Wars Special
The monday episode was all about robots, but no mention of FIRST.
And from this footage of Dean Kamen, we know that the show's producers knew about FIRST, and simply chose to leave it out. ...

Re: Thanks 2005 Seniors
Man. . . I can't believe I'm a senior already.
FIRST is special. There's no other activity like it.
When I was down by Einstein after the awards ceremony saturday, I went up to Dean Kamen and...

Re: Best Teams
As far as robots (aside from our alliance partners - you guys rock), I thought 868 and 135 were great peices of machinery. 135 was just plain fast, and 868 could grab 4 tetras on one arm and 1 on...

Re: Shafted again
I have to agree with this. I've been forced to use 3dsMax for the animation. What if we'd rather use Maya? Or softimage? Or any number of other 3d softwares?
As far as the importance of the...

Re: Congrats to the 2005 Chairmans Award Winner
Thank everyone very much for the kind words!
What a way to end my senior year!
As far as the tournament, I can't think of a single alliance, on Einstein or Newton (and I'm sure it was the same way...

Re: What Happened to Class?
I have to agree.
I don't think I've ever seen a post that was intentionally ungracious, but sometimes it is easy to misinterpret when you're not face to face with someone.
So this is something...

Re: YMTC - Flopper? in the ZONE?
Well, when the HOTBOT is in it's starting position, the 'whiskers' are resting on the floor within the box.
So, they are not only part of the initial starting envelope, but the part that rests on...

Re: Great Lakes Regional!
Thanks for the compliments. I have to say, every single match in the elimination rounds seemed very close. All of the teams there did an awesome job.
