Re: Team Update 4
Seriously, that is the sort of thing you are getting angry at? Seriously????
I doubt the FIRST program would suffer for it at all if IFI decided to leave. Excluding FTC companies with far better...

Re: why blame the programmers??
Technically, if you are actually doing it like an actual control engineer would do things you have plenty of time. In all seriouness you shouldn't need the hardware to program the software. You do...

Re: Are they really robots?

Re: Are they really robots?
You can't build a robot without a frame. You can't build a robot without electronics. You can in fact build a robot without software.

Re: Clowns or Announcers?
Have you seen Mythbusters? Have you been to MIT? Mythbusters has a man dressing up in random costumes all the time. MIT usually has people performing circus arts like unicycling and juggling.

True. OSHA happens to agree with you. It also comes down to the fact that if you are working with stuff that requires dexterity you probably shouldn't be wearing...

Re: Biomedical/Prosthetic Engineering
I would not directly go for the interdisciplinary degree right off the bat. Get a degree in electrical engineering degree. Why electrical engineering? Its much more versatile than a mechanical...

Re: A Request for transparency from FIRST
One metric is actually measurably and debatably not that far off from cultural change. The other metric is completely arbitrary in terms of being able to subjectively make any sort of goal off...

Re: Victor running underwater!
Technically, DI water has ions in it. There is a class of purity above that water called reagent grade or nanopure water in which you measure purity in resistance.

Re: The "FIRST" experience?
I do not like those definitions at all. There are more specialties than that websites gives. No wonder we have an engineering problem. 3/4 of my professors aren't on that list.
