I had to be out of town for long periods one year. We contacted the Regional Director who was able to...

Re: Image Proccesing- LabVIEW

There are several ways to process images (e.g. in the robot LabVIEW code, in the LabVIEW dashboard, GRIP, roborealm, etc.). Which one are you using?

Re: Using Source Control with LabVIEW

I have been looking into this since spring and I think I have found a fairly good set of solutions using Git. Here is our setup.

The TeleOp programming should be straightforward as described above. To your question about the different motor controllers.

There is not a ton of difference between the PWM signals used for...

Re: Help tracking down a possible cause for robot disconnects

You said in your initial post that you replaced a power cable between the switch and PDP. However, the radio should be powered though the VRM. Is this the case?

Re: ANNOUNCING: navX MXP Robotics Navigation Sensor

Our team is planning to add a motor and a servo to our robot for state championships (off season). We are already using 9 of the 10 PWM channels on the roboRIO for motors and servos so we need to use...

Re: Joystick disconnecting constantly during match

Would a bad joystick driver cause it to disconnect like that?

There might be a driver you could download from the Internet specifically for your joystick.

Re: Dashboard Camera not working

Have you changed anything at all in the Vision VI in the robot code? There is code there that forwards the USB camera images to the dashboard. It has to be running even with the "USB Camera HW"...

Re: ANNOUNCING: navX MXP Robotics Navigation Sensor

Get the download from this page http://www.pdocs.kauailabs.com/navx-mxp/software/

The CAD files are in the zip file; no need to install everything. I don't see a Solidworks model there, but there...

Re: Camera questions

As long as you are only getting the camera image in the Vision VI it doesn't matter if you open the camera in the Begin VI and close the camera in the Finish VI or do everything in the Vision VI. If...

Re: pic: What's weird with this image

This is always backward of what the signal is. When we say forward, it turns red; When we say backward, it turns green.

Re: navX 2016 Software Reset Displacement

I'm pretty sure this is our problem. The roboRIO and navX are mounted on rubber shock absorbers and attached with Velcro. :ahh: :ahh:

I am using the displacement values calculated by the navX....

Re: pic: What's weird with this image

We did not check with a multimeter so that is a possibility.

We did swap the PWM cables between the talons and on the roboRIO. The problem always stuck on one of the talons (I believe the one on...

Re: How can I remove/adjust the 4% deadband on a TalonSRX?

I'm not exprenced in java but in LabVIEW there is an input when initailizing the motor called "Eliminate Deadband".

We used this once in 2012 when we had a turret. The turret needed a certain amount...

We tried recalibrating, although we need to try again since I'm not sure they flashed green afterwords. Anyway, we have motors connected to each talon and both motors turned in the same direction. It...

Re: Getting the new lifecam hd-3000 to work

Do you have code running on the roboRIO? The default (LabVIEW) robot project has code in it that forwards the camera image to the dashboard.

Re: navX 2016 Software Reset Displacement

Awesome! :D I have updated our code.

We plan to use vision to finish at the end of our automode. We just want the navX to get us close.

navX 2016 Software Reset Displacement

We are looking at using the navX displacement values for automode.

We are communicating with it via SPI, and receiving yaw, pitch, roll etc. We can reset the yaw. However, I can not find a function...

I think you are talking about the exposure, not the contrast right? I beleive both the M1011 and the M1013 cameras have a setting that changes the exposure to "Hold Current" which works over power...
