Re: Official FIRST STEAMWORKS Teaser and DLC Pack 1!

I thought the little robot on the left was interesting.

Also, the girl holding the cog-ball reminds me a lot of a past game piece. Also, why is she pointing to the robot on the chart? It's almost as...

Re: Tape Measure Winch

Yep. Super important. We almost went down this route. This ruling killed most winch ideas since your bot cannot tip and pull itself up.

Re: 8" Pnumatic Wheels @ Andymark soldout

Re: 8" Pnumatic Wheels @ Andymark soldout

We just spent the last week building custom hubs and a drivetrain with these same wheels. Watch out for the bearings. They don't seem... adequate. We're looking for other options still.

Re: Team Update 1 : SCALE - Touching the ground?

I'm confused. We're both talking about the last 20 seconds and scaling right? How are you supposed to scale and keep your bumpers in the bumper zone?

Re: Team Update 1 : SCALE - Touching the ground?

Even if the wheels are raised too? I'm talking about pushing the WHOLE robot up. I'm unsure how this is different than using the bar to raise yourself up except that you are touching the ground with...

Re: Team Update 1 : SCALE - Touching the ground?

I'm not talking about raising the bumpers. I'm talking more like silts that raise your bot in the last 20 secsonds. Something will be in contact with the ground but your bumpers will be above the...

Question Team Update 1 : SCALE - Touching the ground?

Does this mean you can continue to touch the ground and be considered scaling as long as your bumpers are raised above the line and you merely touch the rung?

Does scaling/challenging require a weakened tower?

The rules don't seem to indicate that you must weaken the tower in order to get points for scaling or challenging it. Is this the case?

Thumbs up Re: Announcing RobotDotNet: DotNet for FRC

Thank You! :D

I had just started to research if something like this existed. 14 years later I'm volunteering with my old team 498! I'm a C# developer these days so this will make it way more fun.

Talking Soccer! Good Idea

Yup, I think soccer would be so fun. One question is after you score, will there be other balls on the field already? Or will you stop the robots and place another ball mid field and start the match...
