Bobcat Robotics 177 Reveal Video
Saw this pop up in my YouTube subscriptions box and didn't see it here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDSCd6eLrFM. Enjoy!
PS - I'm an alumni so I didn't get to work with the team on the video,...

Re: Einstein Field
Honestly, a lot of it comes down to schedule and who picks whom. We were at champs in 2014 coming off our best regular season since 2006 and got killed in quals because of a tough schedule.

Lol, you came at me with all of these numbers, so I thought you were angry. Just a misunderstanding. And yea, 177 had a few good years in there

Re: Einstein Field
Whoa chill. I was just referring to Einstein trips. I picked 2010 just because it was a 5 year mark (also because going out to 10 years would have taken too long). I know their regional history. I...

Re: Einstein Field
That on-field interview was painful to watch. I understand that they want to make it more exciting and like a sport, but she only asked him different variations of "aren't you pumped to be here?"...

Re: Einstein Field
Honestly, I'm surprised that there are no NE Region teams on Einstein. The three winners of NE CMP, 2067, 1519, and 195 didn't win any of their divisions. Kind of odd, considering how competitive...

Re: Eliminations replay card
Interesting idea.
A system could be implemented where each alliance can chose 2 of the 3 cards. This would make teams chose between these three options:
Backup Robot
Timeout
Replay
Where you...

Re: Team Structure
177 uses a basic structure. I put the reletive kids per group in parenthesis.
CADD (5)
Controls (3)
Mech (6)
Fundraising (6)
Media (4)
Total 24 kids, some filter in and out through the season, but...

Re: New Championship Layout 2015
I don't think that would work well for spectators. Fields will definitely have to be where the pits were this year (think: 2011). Also, they could just use Einstein for divisional matches and just...

Re: New Championship Layout 2015
Kind of off topic, but still in line with the discussion: why wouldn't they adopt an IRI style draft for elims at CMP? It would make it way more competitive if the draft order was 1-8, 1-8, 8-1. The...

Re: Indiana going to Districts for 2015
All of the current district models are so large (Especially FiM) that they run their CMP event in week 7. Would Indiana, being such a small district, be able to run all of their events before week 5...

Re: Indiana going to Districts for 2015
If the FIRST website cannot report accurate numbers, then it should not be reporting numbers at all.
I will go back tonight and redo my calculations using frclinks

Re: Indiana going to Districts for 2015
There could be some incentive for District teams competing at Regionals. Maybe a dumbed down point system for winning only. Where, even if they've done their 2 district events, they could still gain...

Re: Indiana going to Districts for 2015
I just did straight division of total teams by total events. I did not calculate for teams who run their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th event. Just double the numbers and it will be closer to the actual count,...

Re: Indiana going to Districts for 2015
So I ran some of the numbers based off of the usfirst.org 2014 directory.
FiM has .005662 teams per Sq Mile
MAR has .003164 teams per Sq Mile
PNW has 0.001237 teams per Sq. Mile
NE has 0.003302...

Re: [FRC Blog] Survey
I just want to see Aerial Assist again. Played on Lunacy regolith. With minibot poles. Which are on coopertition bridges. Is that too much to ask for? ;)
