Re: the book: Code Name Ginger by Steve Kemper

Sorry for being a little off-topic but has anyone read the new book on the history of Xerox? I just saw it in my college's library and it looked really good.

Re: the book: Code Name Ginger by Steve Kemper

Dean Kamen does have this very mysterious aura where you want to admire him and follow him around and participate in his adventures and help him change the world. The fact that Dean Kamen has the...

Re: The Greatest Invention of All

I doubt that he reads these forums. I also doubt that he has any time to respond to personal correspondents. If you want to talk to him you will probably have to find an intermediary who knows you. I...

Thank you all for helping me with this. Could you help me understand how the formula above works? I think that its the same process that I described in my first post. It seems to me that if you're...

How do you Calculate Belt Length?

How do you calculate the length of a belt around two pulleys? Lets say that the larger pulley has a radius of 20" and the smaller has a radius of 6" and distance between the center of the pulleys in...

Please note that this is a long rant written late at night, however I have a some reputation points to spare and I think that it is important to say:

Re: Lawyer bashing on CD

Here's a question for you guys - Under the Constitution, the Federal Government has very limited power. So, in 1964, what Federal power did Congress use to establish the Civil Rights Act that helped...

Re: Lawyer bashing on CD

I have noticed this, and it does disturb me. Lawyers serve an important function in society, and while many of them are famously unethical many of them are courageous and generous individuals who...

Re: FIRST moving to Indy?

This seems a little weird to me. FIRST has a lot of connections in Manchester, Deka of course and AutoDesk is down the street and local companies such as MMH Ventures and Batteries Plus have offered...

Re: Did you miss out on a Championship event T-Shirt 2003? Fear not, E-Bay has one! Sz. M

However, FWIW, the copies of FrontPage and Office seem to be full retail versions that are resellable, I'll check again...

Re: Did you miss out on a Championship event T-Shirt 2003? Fear not, E-Bay has one! S

I believe that unused technology is useless technology. Yes, this was a gift, but we don't really have a use for it. If Microsoft's goal here was to help teams out rather than promote their products...
