Re: FIRST in Philadelphia Inquirer
I always love to see a philly team get some props, especially rookies :D Be sure to keep that publicity going! With 17 mentors, including yourself, it definitely sounds like you've got the experience...

Re: Bike tires allowed?
Just make sure that your drivetrain is geared for enough torque if you're using that big of a wheel. A bigger wheel means that you'll be moving faster for a given rotational speed, but it also means...

Re: Ideas to get onto ramp??
As mentioned above, there probably isn't anything you can do that can rigidly attach to your frame and not be deployed. That doesn't mean you can't use your idea and try to find a way to deploy it....

Re: Practice bot morality
Let's be honest, things like this are just a fact of life.
In the real world, there are companies that have vast resources, that can afford the time, people, and finances needed to play around with...

Re: pic: FRC 4532 Drive Base Frame
I have to say, congrats to you as a rookie team for being able to design your own drive base. It's also good to see how enthusiastic about it. It's definitely an achievement!
However, I do need to...

Re: Kit Chassis
From what what's been described so far, I'd really suggest using the kit chassis. It's easy to take apart and bolt back together together again, so it's not difficult to make modifications to while...

As a fellow first time mentor on a rookie team, I just want to say that you should be extremely proud at the performance of you and your team. Finishing 13th out of 35 and making it to the...

Re: Illegal?
Those cathodes shouldn't be that hard to wire in. I wound up putting connectors on mine and attaching them to a Spike. Just have it programmed to have that Spike turn on when you want it to and that...

Re: Single Click On/Off Using the Trigger in EasyC
Ok, I got the code to work, bit it took a little bit of tweaking. It may be how I set it up though. Either way, I'm able to have the cathodes toggle on and off with the trigger. This is the code I...

Re: Single Click On/Off Using the Trigger in EasyC
I'm still very much a beginner at programming for a robot, and haven't really coded anything in the last few months. If it is at all possible, can someone give a breakdown of the code that Bear24rw...

Re: Ideas for a demo bot
If you're looking to go the cheaper route, you can use VEX to make something small-ish. If you've seen any FVC robots, you know VEX bots can get to be a nice size, and it's not that hard to get more...
