Re: Autodesk has posted all AVA Entries on FIRSTbase

Re: 2007 Chesapeake Regional - Discussion

To the three alliances that versed us, you guys put up a tough fight. As such, every team made the competition fun, exciting, and (in the end) nerve racking. Thank you Teams 293 and 203 for being a...

Re: animation training

Since you're in FIRST, you have the five licenses off of FIRSTbase. If you don't, consider buying a student license for a year. It will be very beneficial.

If you really want to learn 3ds max then:...

Re: Who has submitted their animation?

I uploaded the submission. Was the URL on the entry page for the storyboard? Because it asked for the animation submission, so I put a link to our .mov file on our website. Now I'm thinking that URL...

Re: Paper work and story boards

I can't find anything about the paperwork. Since an adult member of FIRSTbase has to upload the animation submission, there may be online paperwork.

FIRST also took down the AVA Paperwork Due date...

Re: A challenge to all 2006 Regional AVA winners

Supposedly all the animations will be hosted on the Autodesk site. Every team could score the animations before they even get to the regional. Not everyone will be at the regionals on Thursday, so...

Re: Team 1852's site

Your events page has a table that is nicely customized, however none of the other pages have that customization. For unity, keep all the pages alike. Your site navigation panel is nice. Although I...

Re: Team #2231 Website!

The only suggestion I have is that the News page should be edited to better utilize the width of the screen. It just seems like it's floating in space.

Re: Picture Software

GIMP is definately the way to go. I use it and I highly recommend it. Although, if you like the photoshop interface you can use GIMPshop (which is GIMP, but with a photoshop look).

Re: human player interaction with tubes

There are bungy cords around the chute. I don't think it'll be that easy to turn the tube, but I guess you could do it.

Re: A challenge to all 2006 Regional AVA winners

The animations are due before any of the regionals. If we use the FIRST site to find which teams are at each regional, we could each judge them and on thursday or friday we could get together and add...

And here's a scoring option: Get all the animation...

Set deadlines ahead of their actual due date, you...

Re: Disappointment: Autodesk awards 2007
