Re: 2007 Indiana Robotics Invitational

I say 148 and 67.. but 47 and 33 have been playing so well, I don't even know. 148+67 got "shutdown" by 68 alone? They need to become more agile next round, or they'll be gone (148+67)

Re: 2007 Indiana Robotics Invitational

71 vs. 1114 again. Last year 71 won is an amazing match. What happens now?

Re: 2007 Indiana Robotics Invitational

I just watched these alliances get chosen. A bit weird, don't you think? I missed alot of the competition, so I'll ask: did 1114, 330, 254, 148, etc play badly or something? For example 148 lasted...

Re: iPhone

I saw the iPhone at work on friday. Its amazing, I'm not going to lie. The only serious problem I have with it is its price. If it were $300-$400, then I would probably have one.. and for every...

Re: C Programming Homework Help Needed

As one step, you can remove the & sign from your printf statements.

For example,

printf("Time of flight is %f seconds.\n", &time);

becomes:

printf("Time of flight is %f seconds.\n", time);

Re: Who's gonna win 2007 IRI invitational

I agree. Especially if they end up with 254, which is something I've been waiting two competitions to see.

My favorites:

254/968
330
1114
233
148
1251

Re: Classic / Ultimate Drive Teams

469's drive team from 2004, and 45 from that same year. Then there was 25 in 2003, but that was really a driver, not a "driveteam."

Re: 2007 IRI Invitation and Waiting List

Oh man.. last year, alot of people wanted to see the 25 + 1114 alliance. At IRI, it happened. And when they got knocked out: best match of the year. It would be amazing if the "dream" alliance were...

These are nice gearboxes. Loved the gearbox, loved the ramps. Quality.

Re: Your Best Robot

173: 2005. The robot had enormous potential, a good deal of which was realized.. 2002 if only counting the years I was on the team.
229: 2005. Not even a doubt.

Re: Best Robot Ever 92-07 edition

Oh man..

2000: 25, 131
2001: 71. Most "dominant" robot I've seen during my time.
2002: 71 again. But I'll pay my respects to 60 (beautiful engineering), and 469.
2003: 25.
2004: 45.
2005: 173.
2006:...

Re: Best Autonomous

1114 and 1902's worked almost all the time. Watch the 1114+67 combo at GLR, it was cool.

2056 had a nice one that went across the field to score, but it never actually scored, so---

I dont know....

Re: The best multi-speed transmission

254/968's are great. Looked at them in the pit, and I could barely feel the weight of them. On superficial inspection they also seemed really efficient for a direct drive setup. AM's are good also,...

Re: [FF]: The Non-invite Championship League

1114. 6-1, 5th seed, Division Semifinalist. 12 - 2 + 15 + 20 = 45
175. 4-3, Division Quarterfinalist. 8 - 6 + 10 = 12
703. 3-4, Division Semifinalist. 6 - 8 + 20 = 18
173. 7-0, 2nd seed, Division...

Re: Are two speed transmissions worth it?

Yep. I knew about this option, but measuring current draw appeals to me more. It seems as though it would be "simpler" to get a definitive answer as to which gear the robot should be in. 1126 and 33...

Re: Are two speed transmissions worth it?

Something I'm curious to investigate is some sort of current-based shifting "algorithm." Have the drive default to a reasonable high gear (9-10 fps), then shift to low whenever the current draw grows...
