Re: 2011 Championship Chairman's Award Predictions

With all due respect for all the very fine teams mentioned and who have won this award..... No one compares to team 57. The leopards have a 14 year tradition of excellence with FIRST and have...

Wow what a time! Thanks to team 148 for your faith in us as an alliance partner. Thanks also for looking over our...

Re: Another Culture Change

I've never had a problem with mentors doing a large part of "the work" as you put it. This is allowed within FIRST and FIRST has struggled to keep the competition about the students and not about the...

Re: Another Culture Change

Re: 30 lbs allowance

Not to give the wrong impression. I highly recommend compliance with all the rules. We're weighing all our parts because we intend to comply with the rules as per the honor system and we will be...

Re: 30 lbs allowance

No... most places do not weigh your 30 lbs... If you bring it in as raw material and assemble it there it only counts as the actual machined or altered parts... it is all very tricky... careful...

What "AHA" moment would you share?

My son struggled while working an algebra problem tonight and finally said he felt "Stupid" for not seeing the solution immediately. I told him to remember, that it took a GENIUS to discover "0". I'm...

Re: Another Culture Change

PLEASE

End this thread.

It went from reporting inappropriate actions to labeling people "Haters". "Haters?" You mean the people we mentor? The young men and women in their TEENS we are trying to...

Re: Teams with CNC how do you fill in BOM

Hey Al, I see what you are saying and normally I wouldn't...

Teams with CNC how do you fill in BOM
