One thing I could recommend if possible is to cut the corners at the opposite side of your robot. This will allow you to add metal to either side of the frame thus making the gap between your 8 in....

I would not recommend 1/6" wall tubing for this year's game. Between the defense and the outer works I would definitely make sure your drivetrain is built robustly.

A few people from my team went to the Manchester kickoff and it is Polycarbonate with Bar decals and a 1x1 box steel tubing frame around the whole perimeter of the door on the back side.

Various things were broken on our robot up until our last three or four matches so we lost all but one of our qualification matches so that probably helped.

I'm not saying we did or did not deserve a penalty. I'm not a ref so I Don't decide the penalties I just don't want my team blamed for you not getting the penalties that you should or should not have...

Except our claw never went down during that match so it was impossible that we could have done that to you guys and even if it was us we had no intentions of causing any harm.

If you watch the video of that match no one was near them when they died so no one knows for sure who caused that damage.

I am super excited for Battlecry this year! Last year was a blast and with 60 teams, two full days of matches, and 20 alliances for eliminations, its going to be better than ever.
