Re: Effectiveness of Kicking vs. Pushing

Re: <G39> Pinning
Would it be illegal to block your opponent's goal with a disabled robot (after the ten second grace period) The way I am interpreting the pinning rule in regards to this is that the robot is...

Re: Robot Classifications
Given the maximum weight of ANY fieldable robot is 120 pounds, I would think you would only need to support a total of 360 pounds from your lifting device, and 240 from any part of the robot that...

Re: Pic: would this chassis shape be legal?
I believe you misread the rule on "Possession" and are confusing with "Carrying"
Possession refers to keeping the ball in the same position relative to the robot when turning the robot, etc. The...

Re: Hanging robots and <G31>
I found this image of team 60's robot from 2004, and unless I am looking at it wrong, the robot would have to be facing the bar to attach to it, and according to the comments the hook starts attached...

Re: Hanging robots and <G31>
Which previous year involved hanging? The years I participated as a student were '05 (Triple Play) and '06 (Aim High) in which there was no hanging.
I don't suppose you have a picture or care to...

Re: Hanging robots and <G31>
If you look at section "6.2.4 The TOWERS" of the manual, and the associated picture of the ball return attaching to the towers you see the following
This implies that both the upper and lower bar...

Hanging robots and <G31>
If I am reading this right, this restricts the robots from hanging from three of the four sides of the tower, and effectively to only the midfield side of the tower as I see it practically impossible...
