Re: What is the most ghetto thing you've seen on a robot?

Not really on our robot, but to aim our high goal shooter at our off-season event, Team 2619 put a piece of electrical tape on the spot on our laptop screen where the goal needed to be lined up with...

Re: pic: 4183's 2015 Robot: Stack Overflow

I had to look this forum up to make sure that a metal robot wasn't being burned in the recent thread I saw.

Re: MI is the best?

The notion of having a "super-district" competition/invitational competition seems extremely elitist in nature. Not only does this mean that there would be separate levels for "good" and "bad" teams,...

Re: 775 pro shield

I appreciate seeing a more official version of this... Team 2619 has been utilizing cut pieces of PVC tubing that slide over the motor to protect our wires...

My apologies for the poor photo...

Re: TapeMeasure Climber Dropping after Match End

Re: What did you learn from this past build season?

Restarting 6 days from the end of build season is not easy. Robot in 6 days is not a fun process.

Re: "Quotes" that were said during build season

Not necessarily a quote, but our scouters have taken to calling the defenses by some... unorthodox names.

Rock wall = Trump's Wall
Moat = Banana Moat
Ramparts = Ramp Parts
Rough Terrain = Lil'...

Re: Most AWESOME match from your event. Week 3

Would have been 5 million times more exciting if your alliance partner had been able to right themselves in time to finish the match after they tipped over. I would agree that it was exciting!

Re: Questions Regarding Defense

Another great way to play defense, besides just blocking their shots, is to bump the shooter around a bit. Just watch Semifinals 2 and 4 from the 2016 Midland District. Our alliance partner, 5222,...

Re: Your tall opaque robot is now illegal

The clickbait is real with this title...

On a real note, I think that making this illegal would be completely ruining a strategy and style of play that has no inherent issues to it; defense is a...

Re: pic: Pearadox 5414 robot at Alamo 2016

Our team started out the year with a very similar drive train as yours. We had staggered 8" x 1.5" Plaction wheels with a front raised 8" pneumatic wheel. Went over the defenses like a tank......

Re: What types of metal do you use for your robot in general?

Our team uses a lot of .75" x .75" aluminum tubing. Never had a problem with it.
