Note: The last line should read:
I redid the command line previously given and the device is recognized by the Driver Station as a Gamepad.
The command line procedure worked every time.

We had a similar issue. Set the task bar to auto hide. There is not enough room on the classmate screen for the dashboard, driver station and task bar.

There are not any files in the
C:\Program Files (x86)\FRC Gamepad Tool\Tools\mspdebug\Logs
directory except Logs.txt (which is zero blocks).
I did a search of C: for all files modified today and...

Within Labview, goto Support--> Find FRC Examples--->Robot and Motor--->Motor Control.lvproj.
Open up the example project. There is a good diagram of how to hook up a Motor.
