Re: Strange comms issues

If you haven't re-configured your robot radio since your last event, you might need to do so. If you haven't re-configured it, the WiFi light on it will probably be red (or at least that's how it is...

Re: Best Event Giveaways

At Tech Valley, Team Rembrandts (4481) gave Dutch stroopwaffels to everyone waiting outside before the doors opened. Those were tasty.

Re: Let's Talk About Your Team's Computers

Re: Serial Communication (Java)

The Rio runs RS-232 at ±12 Volts (approx), while TTL is ±3.3 or 5. A 3.3V signal isn't enough to trigger a RS-232 circuit.

Re: Serial Communication (Java)

You could use a RS-232 to TTL adapter board based on the MAX3232 chip (most are), like this one:...

Re: Team 1625's Rank Predictor

What exactly is "Tele Trunc." supposed to measure?

This system looks really cool. I'm thinking I'm going to implement it for my team's offseason event.

Re: Vision Tracking Question

If you're running GRIP on the RasPi, you can set GRIP as a scheduled task.

You would connect to the Pi, and run "crontab -e", then edit it so that it has a line like this:
@reboot java -jar...

Blue Alliance API OPR

Does the Blue Alliance API provide teams' OPR values, or will I need to calculate them myself?

Thanks!

Re: Integrating Computer Vision with Motion Control - FIRST Championship Conference

My team's robot doesn't have a functioning vision system, and yet still fires a high goal shot in auto. We used a hard-coded position to aim our turret from the spy box.
