We have a Dimension 1200es in our school; I'm not sure about the printer's price, but I do know that each tray of "ink" (i.e. plastic) costs on the order of $200 apiece.

Re: Encoder Problem.

Try changing "TestEnc" to "testEnc". You're not supposed to capitalize variable names (http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Java_Programming/Variables#Identifiers).

If that doesn't work: Check the output of...

Re: Where to get pneumatics bumper

The part you're looking for is the "solenoid breakout," available at AndyMark (http://www.andymark.com/product-p/am-0868.htm).

Re: Gearbox Modification

I personally disagree, as R33 does not ban modification of gearboxes, only motors, and the snow blower motor gearbox is not explicitly deemed as integral to the system.

However, please do ask the...

Re: Curiosity... Apple iPod app for FRC?

First, no, we're not required to use the Attack 3 joysticks to drive the robot - think of them as a "starter kit" for rookie teams to begin driving. Many teams use other controllers, like Logitech...
