Re: File Type?

You can also take your files direct from Pro/E into MasterCAM as 3d data, either in Pro/E native or .stp/.step. This is how our team gets the data to our CNC.

Re: pic: FR263 Arm Teaser

Yup 263's always made everything with hand held jig saws, I'd know as that is the team I started my FIRST career on, as a high schooler. We even made wheels a few years by hand out of 1/8" plate,...

Re: When to get an MBA, an MEng?

I went straight onto my MEng right after my BS in Mechanical Engineering. I do agree, it depends greatly on the person.

My reasoning was, that after leaving school and entering the work force, I...

Re: FIRST Behind the Design - 2007

Re: Manipulators: Claws vs rollers?

Re: ProE on Windows7

Once you do get it installed though, it does run and is fully supported on Windows 7 x86-64 (Wildfire 5.0 / CreoElements/Pro 5.0 are at least). I've been running it under 7 Pro 64-bit and have had...

Re: Hypothetical Situation - Stairs

The 190 robot also had across it, 4 sets of wheels, instead of just two. As it climbed up, parts of the robot were over hanging off the platform, and the robot could be supported by wheels in the...

Re: Team Twitter Accounts

Figured we'd revive this and get things going, as I am sure this list will be far longer now than 2 years ago. 1622 Team Spyder has a new twitter account, @frc1622

If teams want to again post a...

Re: 2011 Game Hint #1

A lot of teams did this in 2002. For the home zone scoring, you only needed to touch the zone, not be completely inside of it. Many teams had a small robot that drove off their robot, connected by...

I believe her first single was used on an episode of HBO's "Curb you Enthusiasm", which would of course mean we have a curb on the field. So there will be a perimeter around the field that you need...

Re: Could you help us figure out what this is?

There are many things to consider when selecting your gear ratio.

Specifically, what method are you going to use to lift yourself? I presume a spool and cable system of some sort. So you...
