Re: How many Robots at the nationals had an operational Camera Track Autonomous?

I wish that were exactly the case. Unlike a using a PID+gyro, our system returns to going straight when there is no target in sight (or continues turning at the same rate, depending on how we want...

Re: How many Robots at the nationals had an operational Camera Track Autonomous?

We had our camera tracking working for our second to last match I think, and we scored 6/7. Our robot had our camera mounted to our turret, so we could estimate the error in angle based on the...

Re: "Java, Sun SPOT and the FIRST Robotics Competition"

It's also good for making certain teams' website people cringe.

Re: Great Human Player in 2009

234's human player is the best that I've seen. He was making 3/4 field shots and in eliminations, I think he only missed 1-2 of the supercells he got, which probably won a couply of our matches. ...

Re: PID on a one directional Shooter

Okay, so here's what I did.
1. I made my own encoder rate counter using a timed 30ms loop and a feedback node to find the rate/30ms. This was done because the rate function in the get encoder vi put...

Re: Wiimote Digital Scouting System

Really, regardless of what the FTC rules are (what did t22 read as anyways. I can't seem to find it), you should ask the event staff or at least someone who's helping to run things if it's "legal." ...

Re: Help connecting wireless bridge

Another possibility:
When you log on to your bridge, it will show you all available networks. Make sure your router is on there.

Otherwise, from what I read, the IP and stuff is set up right (check...

Re: Gyro problem

Can you set the gyro up as an analog input (it's under i/o in the WPI stuff) and probe what it thinks is the voltage when still and when rotating?

Re: How far have you gotten in "100 Bottles of Milk on the Wall"...

Umm...I'm not sure if it's just where I grew up, but I count down, and when I get to 0, I count up again. On a 1 hr bus ride, I went from 100 to 0 and back up to 100 before stopping
(Counting up is:...

Re: 7" Digital Picture frame (suggestions?)

I can't really suggest one as of now, but I suggest checking dealmein.net occasionally to find some pretty sweet deals on digital picture frames. I've seen 7 inchers go for under $40. Dealmein.net...

Re: Dear WildStang

This is grave news; if Wildstang indeed posted CAD files, who knows what could happen to the CD servers. I mean...last time..

Re: Recommended joysticks?

I'm a fan of using the extreme 3d pro for operator and attack 3s (they're free...) for driver. The attack 3 has everything needed for driving, and the extreme 3d pro has a lot of nice stuff such as...

Re: Wiimote Digital Scouting System

This is a fairly good point. Depending on who's opinion you go by, since wi-fi rules aren't really enforced at all, wiimotes could possibly be illegal as they use bluetooth (2.4ghz). Really, it's a...

Re: Gyro problem

Also, check which analog channel you're using/try changing the channel. I'm not sure if this is true for everyone, but our module didn't like using the last analog in when we had the jumper for...

Re: How many robots have scored Super Cells?

I know 234 scored one at BMR with their robot in the last couple seconds of a qualification match, but I'd say their human player scored many, many, many,...,many more supercells, including a match...

I'm not sure if this is just our own problem, but when we run the camera example and the target is near the camera and near the top of the image, the masks begin to split apart, making the script...

Re: Feedback for Dashboard during Competition

Not quite...put the number into the cluster, flatten the cluster into a string, and convert the string to a byte array. I still have to work out a couple quirks in my own dashboard xD. Earlier, I...

Re: Feedback for Dashboard during Competition

Well, if you're running off of a front panel deploy, you should already be able to see everything, but you can't run off a front panel deploy at competition, I believe, but the dashboard will work...

Re: Feedback for Dashboard during Competition

Not exactly sure what I'm answering...
You have to set the cRIO to send back the information you want, and you need to use a dashboard project to retrieve the sent data. You can either edit the...

Re: Time to build cRIO LabVIEW code

For our team, on a Dell D620 core 2 duo machine, it takes roughly a 1-2 minutes, most of which is spent initializing or saying something like async agent vi (the last thing it says). On a 800mhz...
