Re: pic: Michigan Team Growth 2009-2016

This really shows how FiM hasn't just increased school participation in the southeast side of the state, where the majority of Michigan teams used to exist. But how the west side of the state has...

Re: Districts vs. Traditional Debate 8/16 830pm EST

I believe the original intent of gpetilli post and Chris is me's reply was to state that regional teams should have first dibs on regional events registration. Chris just stated that this is how it...

Re: California District Proposal

FiM owns 3 fields. Was looking to purchase the fourth. Still a year or two away from needing 5 fields, especially if inter district play will count for points.

We also have some very awesome people...

Re: Michigan State Championship 2017 Dates

My first and favorite option is easy one. Ford Field.

Case could be made to use Cobo also.

Starting 2018 of course.

For 2017 I think it will be similar to the 2014 season where almost everyone...

Re: Detroit Venue for Championship 2018

Hopefully the M1 lightrail is completed by this time which should be able to get people close to ford field very quickly.

I've heard rumors about FIRST transporting robots and pit stuff to ford...

Re: First ever 70 point auto

With 67s design, a 2 ball auto probably isn't out of question. Hope to see them get it going.

Re: Is FRC giving high CG robots a free pass on defense?

Ah. You would be talking about my robot in 2013 (326). I'm not going do defend our design choices, because we good reason why we did this. I will say though that the robot you are speaking of was...

Re: Split Champs in '17 and '18

This is a very easy walk and pretty safe. Ive done it many times myself. It isn't much different than the old Atlanta walk from the furthermost hotels to Georgia-Dome (and its not uphill).

There are...

Re: How does the dual field setup work at MSC?

Here's how last year worked.

Quals:

-Odd number matches were played on field A, even number matches were played on field B.

-As one field reset the other would be playing. With the scoring taking...

Re: Team Update 19 (2016)

With two fields the Octo-Finals took up as much time as the normal Quarter-Finals.

After the Octo-Finals we moved to one field to finish the event. Personally I rather of seen the first two rounds...

Re: Michigan State Championship Projections

Saw an interesting thing, Team 66 has won a chairman's award, which auto qualifies them for States, yet you have them '~in".

Just wondering if that is a typo for them.

Re: Team Update 14 (2016)

Re: Team Update 14 (2016)

I totally disagree with this. Only 51 tried something similar as a re-director into the goals. Others just put up a piece of lexan to keep them on their side of the field.

No one could copy 469.

Re: What every mentor is thinking right now is...

Finally pushed the robot in some stress tests last night.

1- Shorted a PD board after crossing a defense.

2- Ripped the "L" bracket from which our drive-train gear boxes were mounted to.

3-...

Re: pic: Arc GIS Map of Teams Closest to 2018 World's Locations.
