Re: Summer Heat nearing full registration

I can confirm this is the plan. Maybe we'll come away with 2 trophies in 1 weekend...

Re: Most Successful Robot without Vision

You are correct that we used vision during auto. One thing that might not be so evident is that from our 2nd competition on, we actually had a vision check in the firing sequence. The primary driver...

Re: USBCamera GetImage()

It is worth noting that it may be a good idea to put any getImage calls in a try-catch because occasionally for various reasons, the camera may not be accessible at the time of a getImage call, which...

Full screen video in Smart Dash?

Hi,
I program our robot in Java but we use the LabVIEW Smart Dash...
I was wondering if there was a simple (preferably) way to have a full screen toggle on the video feed, similar to how a video...

Re: FIRST Music Playlist for DJ's - Bring Back the Excitement!

There is a gathered "play list" and "do not play list" that I have seen, I believe in the role description of DJ in VIMS. Along with the two lists I think was a short description of what FRC events...

Re: The Chokehold Strategy of 2016?

I've heard that there has been vastly differing strictness in G11 calls between events. For example, that scenario at North Shore would be at least 50/50 a G11, whereas I have seen videos of robots...

Re: Getting out of tight places

Take advantage of the compression of your bumpers. You will always be able to force the robot so make some sort of angle with the wall, then maneuver from there. Great job at North Shore, it was fun...

Re: Los Angeles Regional Finals Match Defense

In regards to cards for aggressive play... A team at North Shore was given a yellow card in their first match of playoffs for an aggressive hit while attempting to score a boulder in the enemy...

Re: Backup Coupon Warning

What would happen if a team declined a normal alliance selection as, say, #9 rank, and a backup team was requested during elimination play?

Re: What kind of camera should we use for vision tracking?

Keep in mind the number of ports on the radio this year, limiting camera choices.

Due to the relative greater accuracy required by high goal shooters, perhaps a separate multiplier for defense bots for high goal vs low goal shots may be necessary?
