Re: A simulator for teaching how drive trains work.

Excellent! We'll definitely be using this in our drive systems training!

Re: Best FRC moments ever

Would this happen to be the highest scoring match (for one alliance) of the season?

Re: Your favorite robot of all time?

I've heard a lot about team 1717 in 2012, but what was so incredible about their robot? Not to undermine them or anything, but there were several designs from that year with a similar drivetrain.

Your favorite robot of all time?

Title says it all. Public poll to see what your personal favorite FRC robot has been, from any year and any team; not necessarily the best or most functional!

My personal favorite: Team 195's 2013...

Congratulations on your incredible achievement! Your team has worked hard since day one in 2001, and have proved that hard work, cooperation and duct tape can bring teams and their robots together....

Re: Tips for first time at champs?

Does anyone know where I can find a list of seminars available at champs? I'm dashing in and out on Thursday/Friday for the Dean's List ceremonies, and I'd like to get in whatever i can in that time.

Re: How Many Teams At Worlds in St. Louis?

They don't typically need translators, as at least one or two members or mentors of a team would speak English. However, translators have been available previously for judging sessions.

Re: The 2056 Streak has ended!

:D Iconic
The Stronghold Waterloo seems to have easily been the most exciting yet, and a well-deserved victory to 610, 1241, and 3560. In addition, congratulations to 2056 on their third RCA...while...

Re: The REAL chokehold of 2016

Is it really worth 1/3 of your alliance to sit stationary on the batter for an entire match? Much easier would be to keep the defender off the batter by brute force.
This design, while innovative,...

Re: The REAL chokehold of 2016

The issue is with this robot on an alliance, challenging and scaling become a pain for their alliance partners if possible at all.

Re: Scream For Sally

You play your hardest in matches, because you want to do well. Anything else would qualify as a T7 or T8, which for the spirit of the game, do you really want to do?

I can only speak for a few...

Re: The Chokehold Strategy of 2016?

Agreed, which leads me to question some of the logic involved with the strategy. It would become easy for the robot stuck in the secret passageway to dart about for a bit, and lure/trick the opponent...

Re: G43 enforcement level

Re: Advantageous to Take a G34 Penalty

While definitely not in the spirit of GP, this strategy is still viable and at the discretion of the referees with an extension of G25. However, the risk of contracting several G21 fouls is way too...
