Ringmaster from the last season of battlebots used wheels that appear similar to colsons in an unconventional kiwi setup. While it probably wouldn't work on carpet i'm assuming your marking problems...

Students have no increased negative effect on grades, robots get better, and most importantly mentors have fun without those annyoing students:D

We didn't have a problem with motors or the main breaker getting too hot in 2014 with the exception of the compressor and everything at long outreach...

Firing different number of Pistons
Pulsing pistons(artificial hard stop)
