Re: Most underrated/undervalued tools

Re: Team 254 Presents: Dropshot Technical Binder 2016

Awesome write up.

I'm very intrigued by the safety wire that you used on the flywheel.
Would you mind elaborating on the reason you use it, process for installing it, and perhaps a...

Re: Best low goal robot

I'll add another to the 1058 bucket. As a sole low goaler prior to district champs they were able to shovel boulders into the low goal with ease, and secure the climb.

I saw their strength in two...

Re: What Percent of Teams Use CAD?

Another aspect of this discussion which is emerging, is to what extent teams use CAD during their design process. I have seen teams that use CAD to make sure that things fit simply by modeling blocks...

Re: What Did you use for Vision Tracking?

1768 began the season using OpenCV and a Jetson TK1, we later switched to a Nexus 5X which became desirable due to its all in one packaging (camera and processor, which made taking it off the robot...

Re: Best multi-tool for robot/field use

I carry a Leatherman Charge TTi with the bit kit. Just having pliers and a knife is incredibly helpful. The tool is a reasonable size and weight to carry everyday. The addition of the bit kit makes...

Re: Windows versus Mac

I use a Macbook Pro 15" as my daily driver. As a college student it is great for much of what I need in classes, typing documents, reading assignment and web browsing. The trackpad is great, battery...
